Estudio de la redistribución de la ruta por defecto en RIP

Clase: Exploration 2 (CCNA 2 v4) Fecha: 2 de junio del 2014

 

En este escenario se intenta demostrar si en RIP, la ruta por defecto se redistribuye mediante

redistribute static o mediante default-information originate, tal como lo menciona la currícula

de Exploration 2, capítulo 5, punto 5.5.2 y capítulo 11 punto 11.5.1.

 

Las pruebas se realizaron con equipos reales con versiones 12.2(16) y 15.0(1)M6.

La imagen está en PT pero las pruebas fueron hechas con Cisco 2601 y 1941.

Pruebas con IOS 15 en un router 1941 con la ruta por defecto (Rosario) y aplicando el

comando default-information originate.

Resumiendo, el comando default-information originate no aplica a RIP en la versión 12.2 y

aplica a versión 15, no se verificó con la versión 12.4, y si bien RIP hoy es utilizado sólo con

fines de estudio, este comando está mucho mas asociado a OSPF, en EIGRP no existe.

 

Reflexión: la currícula está bien o no ? Respuesta: claro que si, pero en la vida real no todo

son versiones nuevas y como networkers debemos sobrevivir a todas las versiones de IOS,

viejas, nuevas y por salir, y se aleja también de las situaciones ideales de laboratorio.
